Vitamin D again: Breakfast

Why more about vitamin D? If a good vitamin study is reported, more scientists will study it to see if it is true and where else it can be used. Vitamin D is a remarkable vitamin for increasing health. I will give a rundown of the latest studies.
A study published in June 2008 showed that men with low vitamin D levels suffer 2.42 times more heart attacks. Tens of millions of dollars are spent to advertise that Lipitor reduces heart attacks 37%. According to a late study men with the highest vitamin D levels had a 142% reduction in heart attacks. Don’t stop taking your medication but add 2000 IU of vitamin D daily.
Vitamin D deficient women, have a 253% increased risk of colon cancer
40,950 women perished from breast cancer last year in the United States. A study published in January 2008 showed that women with the lowest level of vitamin D were at a 222% increased risk for developing breast cancer. Most studies show that higher levels of vitamin D reduce breast cancer incidence by 30-50%.
Prostate cancer will kill almost 30,000 men this year. Men with higher levels of Vitamin D have a 52% reduced incidence of prostate cancer.
In a study published in Sept. 2008, blood indicators of vitamin D status were measured in 3,316 patients with suspected coronary artery disease. The subjects were followed for 7.75 years. For every small decrease in blood levels of vitamin D there was a startling 86% increase in the number of fatal strokes.
According to J. J. Cannell MD “Current research indicates vitamin D deficiency plays a rode in causing seventeen varieties of cancer as well as heart disease, stroke, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, depression, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, muscle weakness muscle wasting, birth defects, and periodontal disease.
Vitamin D deficiency is diagnosed when blood levels of a vitamin D metabolite (25-hydroxyvitamin D) drops below 12ng/mL.
According to the worlds most foremost experts, optimal levels of vitamin D are between 30 and 50 ng/ml. Those with blood levels below 30 ng/ml are considered to have insufficient vitamin D.
If adults would take 2000 IU of vitamin D daily, children and babies a lower dosage. Billions in health care could be saved and people would be healthier and happier. A study showed that breast fed babies were vitamin D deficient and should be supplemented with vitamin D

Teenagers who eat breakfast are less likely to be overweight than those who skip the morning meal.
